Golan Heights: Episode 11 — Barak Breaks
The 188th Armored Brigade, known as Barak, bore the weight of the central and southern Golan defense during the opening Syrian assault. This episode narrows the campaign to a brigade fighting hard while the battlefield around it disintegrated. Communications failed, commanders were lost, strongpoints were isolated, and Syrian armor pushed through gaps created by artillery, engineers, and overwhelming pressure.
